Like any medical emergency, a dental emergency requires immediate care. If you have broken or knocked out a tooth, feel pain, see swelling or discoloration, or have suffered mouth or jaw trauma that has affected your teeth or gums, please seek emergency dental treatment as soon as you can. Sports impact, chewing hard food, and using teeth as scissors can all lead to dental emergencies.
In any dental emergency, call Mullica Hill Family Dental to make an appointment before doing anything else. You may get an answering service after hours, but Drs. Bo and Christina Levitsky will be on call and available to help. At the same time, clean and treat the wound as much as you can until you can get in to the dentist to preserve the tooth and surrounding tissues, keeping a cold compress on your face if you can.
